§ 1 Organiser

Leo Europa Forum 2027 (hereafter also referred to as “we” or “us”) is an association according to Art. 60 of the Swiss Civil Code headquartered in Laax GR.

§ 2 Registration and payment

When you register for the Leo Europa PreForum 2027 (hereafter referred to as “PreLEF”), you are making a binding offer, to which you are bound for 14 days. The contract will be concluded when we confirm your registration within this period. If payment is not made within 14 days of registration, we reserve the right to cancel your spot. If you choose to pay in two instalments, we must receive 50 per cent of the total amount within 14 days of registration confirmation, and the remaining 50 per cent no later than 60 days before the event.

The minimum age to attend PreLEF is 18 years. We do not accept registrations if you are over 35 years old, unless we have given our prior consent.

We accept payment by bank transfer in EUR and CHF. All payments must be made free of charge to Leo Europa Forum 2027.

§ 3 Cancellation policy

You can cancel your registration for PreLEF until 90 days before the event, or 30 days before if you require a visa to attend and this visa was not granted. We charge bank transfer costs and an administrative fee of CHF 50.00 (or the equivalent in EUR) for all refunds. However, we will not charge the administrative fee if you cancel because your visa was not granted.

§ 4 Changes to the event

We reserve the right to make changes to the program, e.g. to workshops, seminars or supporting events, as long as the overall character of the event remains unchanged. There is no legal entitlement to participate in specific program items if these are already fully booked or no longer available at the time of the event.

§ 5 Limitation of liability

Participation in PreLEF is at your own risk. You agree that you are personally and fully liable for any damage caused by you or your equipment.

We accept no liability for any damages to the extent permitted by law. This means that we are liable for damage resulting from injury to life and health, as well as for damage resulting from the breach of a material contractual obligation, in cases of intent and negligence. Material contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is essential for the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the contracting parties may rely and rely regularly. In the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations, we shall only be liable for foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract in cases of simple negligence. For all other damage, we shall only be liable in cases of intent and gross negligence.

§ 6 Safety

We are committed to providing a safe, productive and welcoming environment at PreLEF. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying or violence at our events.

Bringing weapons or dangerous objects to PreLEF is not permitted and may result in immediate exclusion from the event. We also reserve the right to exclude individual participants from parts or the entire program if they behave violently or disrespectfully towards other participants, the Host Committee, volunteers, or staff. In the event of exclusion from PreLEF, a refund of the participation fee, even partial, is excluded. This also applies to other situations in which we lawfully exercise our rights.

Smoking inside our venues and the consumption of illegal drugs at PreLEF are not allowed. You are responsible for any fines incurred due to smoking.

During PreLEF, you must follow any instructions given by us. Failure to do so, resulting in loss or damage to us or any third party, may result in you being held liable.

§ 8 Health insurance and travel documents

We require you to submit proof of health insurance that covers the costs of treatment and emergency transport and evacuation in Switzerland for the entire duration of your stay. In accordance with local law, you must also provide us with data about your travel document. This information must be made available to us at least 30 days before the event. If you live in Switzerland or Liechtenstein, you do not need to provide proof of health insurance.

§ 7 Photos and videos

Photos and videos are taken during our events. These bay be published Lions and Leo websites, including but not limited to Leo Europa Forum and Leo Multiple District 102 Switzerland-Liechtenstein, as well as on social media channels and in the member magazine LION. The purpose of this is to provide general visual representation and documentation of the Leo Europa Forum and PreForum, as well as for use in flyers, posters and other print products for advertising and reporting purposes. These photos and videos may be archived and used in future advertising campaigns. Publication will take place for an indefinite period. If you do not agree to this, please contact our photographers directly at the event.

We encourage you to capture your experiences at the event and share your own social content, provided it does not infringe the rights of any attendee, third party or Leo Europa Forum 2027. Photo, video and audio material from our events may not be sold or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

§ 8 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is Laax GR. If you live in Switzerland, you may also choose your place of residence as the place of jurisdiction.
