What is the Leo Europa Forum?
Leo Europa Forum (LEF) is the annual Leo convention of European and Mediterranean Leos.
So, what is the Forum all about? The programme provides a platform for the exchange of ideas among Leos in Europe and consists of serious and fun workshops, social activities, sightseeing trips, and opportunities to explore Swiss culture. There will also be a presentation of countries featuring projects and culinary highlights. LEF is also the venue for the annual meeting of International Liaison Officers (ILOs): Leo representatives from Europe and Mediterranean countries.
It is a great opportunity to connect with Leos from other countries, meet old and new friends and learn from each other’s experiences!
The Forum in Switzerland
LEF will take place in Switzerland in 2027. The PreForum will be held in Zurich in winter, and the main Forum will take place in Laax, in the canton of Graubünden, in summer. During the Forum, participants will share information about their Leo projects, develop leadership skills, and discover new ways to support their communities in a variety of workshops. They will also have the opportunity to explore Switzerland’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
The Leo Europa Forum was first held in Vienna in 1976, making it the oldest Leo Area Forum in the world. It has been held consistently every year since then, taking place in a different country each year. In 2025, the Forum took place in Lille, France, and in 2026, it will be held in Tunis, Tunisia for the first time.
We expect around a 150 Leo members from all over Europe and the Mediterranean countries. Certain events will also be attended by officers of Lions Clubs International and Lions members from Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The PreForum will take place in Zurich from January 29-31, 2027, and the Forum will take place from 21–28 August 2027 in Laax, Graubünden.
